I was struck, when re-reading where Arithon knowingly activated the prime purpose of Alithiel at Alestron, the marked similarities between the effects that Alithiel's song had on Lysaer's warhost and the effect the roused might of Caithwood had on Lysaer's troops who were about to burn Caithwood to the ground.
That such different sources gave a similar veil of peace over the hot blooded war mongering troops is rather uncanny and makes one wonder if the sources are different aspects of a single source power?
